Had a bad time with this, tried work account but wouldn’t add other users in Azure without me making them global Admins! Ended up wiping and starting again. Perhaps there is another more appropriate build of Microsoft Windows 10 Enterprise other than ?

When I arrive on the window you describe in your attached image, the fields “Alternate actions” and the “Join this.. There are no ” ” symbols on the “Set up a work or school account”. I find no evidence of any Azure Active Directory actions or configurable settings in Windows 10 Enterprise. Additional my product is activated. After Windows 10, update , they have taken away the alternative actions to join to a local domain. I also noticed that in build , that if you right click on the start, they have taken Control Panel option away.

I mention this because they continue to say in the future build they will move everything out of control panel and into settings. But with this version, , they have taken away the option to join a domain out of settings. Microsoft needs to listen to business customers and stop forcing all of these changes on Pro and Enterprise versions.

I’ve joined dozens of computers to my local AD and this is the first time I’ve seen this. Thanks for the tip! Best answer worked for me. I found your response very helpful. In version , I right clicked on Windows button and selected System from the menu options but actually this option did not include buttons to make changes. You will have to go though control panel to get to the real system window to be able to join to a domain and make other changes to the PC other than changing PC name.

Join domain option not available windows 10 pro free download. What is Active Directory? A step-by-step tutorial

The most important problem for many people is the confusion between Microsoft’s personal Windows 10 Professional – “domain join” option. It seems to be that your version is neither Windows 10 pro version nor the enterprise version, and the one you are using is a limitted version. To Connect to a Domain you need to go to the windows bar in the bottom. Then start typing domain there should be a tap called connect to work or school.
